Olga started playing badminton when she was as tall as a racket. She grew up to the national team, but spent fifteen years on the bench. Olga goes to the last tournament in India as ballast, where she unexpectedly defeats a famous Chinese woman.

She gets a chance to win a medal, to justify her unsuccessful career. The next game is with the undefeated champion from India, but the head coach does not believe in Olga, the team does not support her, and her family has long since come to terms with her failures. She gathers her last strength to declare herself loudly.
